about
Daniel Mario Borg (b. 1985, Oldham, England) is a contemporary figurative artist, specialising in ceramic wildlife sculpture.

CONCEPT
Daniel's work explores the dynamic relationship between nature and artistic expression. Through form and colour, he aims to capture both the essence and energy of the animal during their most captivating moments.
His approach is marked by the use of vivid colours that prioritise emotion and energy over realism.

PROCESS
Each sculpture begins with observation and sketching, capturing the spirit, movement, and character of the animal.
From these first drawings, the form is shaped by hand in clay. Textures and details are carefully refined before layers of slip and surface finish are added to bring depth, texture, and atmosphere to the piece.
Every sculpture is individually handcrafted, giving each work its own presence and personality.
